About Us
Greetings! We’re the Hansen Family: Michael, Shelly, Hailey, Micah, and Maddie. We are California “city folk” that recently moved to the Great State of Tennessee. Shelly has home schooled our children their entire lives and being in the “buckle of the bible belt” is a much more conducive environment to raise and train them in their walk with the Lord. There are also a large amount of historical sites in the area related to the forming of our great nation. And besides all that, Middle TN is just downright beautiful!
I, Michael, have a thorough background in music and audio recording. Music is a special love of mine and, thus, I have spent most of my life writing and playing. I have also been blessed with a career in audio engineering. An even greater love of mine is for the Word of the Lord. I have enjoyed years of preaching and teaching in our church. However, for a long time I have yearned to serve Christ in a full-time capacity. Combining my knowledge of audio engineering with my devotion to the Word, Sermon Select has been born. I am thrilled to offer my abilities in partnership with churches using the internet for the propagation of the Gospel. Sermon Select is the Hansen Family’s ministry to aid in spreading the Good News.
Homemade Homeschoolers
We also maintain the Homemade Homeschoolers community website. Homemade Homeschoolers is a community BY and FOR creative and eclectc "do-it-yourself" homeschoolers. The site includes a regular blog with posts about all aspects of daily life as home educators, a discussion forum, and what we call the Homemade Homeschoolers Refrigerator - a gallery to post pictures of your homeschooling life.
